Fiona apple to become first black Diamond Apple to make the Pro Bowl
The first black diamond apple has been named the 2017 Pro Bowl Pro Bowl Players’ Association Pro Bowl MVP.
The Pro Bowl named Fiona Apple as the winner of the Pro Football Hall of Fame award, which recognizes players who have “created a lasting legacy by serving as leaders in communities and organizations of color.”
Fiona is the first black player to be inducted into the Pro Sports Hall of Famer’s Hall of Honor.
She was also the first Black player to win the Pro Bowler of the Year award in 2020.
Fiona Apple was voted in as the ProBowl MVP in 2016, but was denied the honor in 2017 because of a racial discrimination charge.
She was later exonerated and voted in again.
Apple has been a standout on the field for the Black Panthers.
She has scored 17 touchdowns in the Pro bowl, including a game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter against the Tennessee Titans.
In 2017, she played a role in the Panthers’ championship win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, scoring on a game winning drive that sealed the victory for Carolina.
Apple was also named the ProFootballTalk’s “Pro Bowl” MVP in 2017.
