What to expect from Apple’s next big phone?
Posted by AppleInsider Staff The Apple Watch Series 3 is set to arrive in Australia this week and we’re getting some first looks at the phone, which will be called the iPhone X. The device will have a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and will be available in two colors: white and rose gold.
The phone will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 chip clocked at 2.3GHz, along with a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The watch will be waterproof and water resistant, and it will have an IP67 rating, meaning that it will not splash if you drop it.
The handset will also have an optical heart rate monitor, GPS, dual-lens rear camera, a microphone and dual microphones for making calls and controlling Siri via the iPhone app.
There’s also an 8MP front camera and a 12MP rear camera.
The iPhone X will also be the first iPhone with an IP68 rating, which means that it is safe to use in hot or humid conditions.
Apple has previously stated that the watch will have the same specs as the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but we won’t have to wait long to see if this is true.
We’ll be checking in with Apple for a full review of the device in the near future.
The new iPhone is expected to be available on September 18th.
